The instructions for the central heating boiler are located in a pocket on the boiler beside the controller.
The central heating boiler is located on the ground floor at the rear of the house. This boiler provides the heating for the house (all floors) and the hot water for the house except for the ground floor shower.
The upper two floors are heated by radiators, each of which can be controlled by a radiator thermostat. Heating on the upper two floors is also controlled by a wall mounted room thermostat on the ground floor landing. The radiator thermostats are subservient to the room thermostat. Control of the heating on these two floors must start by setting the controller times for the boiler, then by making sure that the temperature set on the room thermostat is high enough to ensure that individual radiators will be able to call for hot water to heat the rooms.
The lower ground floor is heated from the boiler but there is a separate controller in the cupboard in the Utility Room which must be set for time and temperature. There is also a room thermostat which is located to the left of this cupboard in the utility room. The sensor for this thermostat is located in the dining area on the other side of the wall from the thermostat. Basically the heating downstairs will call for hot water from the boiler until the thermostat reaches the temperature set in the controller.
Tenants should come to a common agreement about times for the heating to come on and off both for the radiators and for the lower ground floor.
